The Lombardy Castle is a naturally fortified site located in the highest part of the city of Enna. It is a complex good characterized by a long constructive history still not fully interpreted. Not very easily attainable and detached from its urban context, the monument stands today in a precarious state of conservation also because lacking of a coherent program for new functions. The study, founded on a thorough archival and bibliographical investigation, has seen in the execution of a complete and accurate survey, an experimentation aimed at the recognition and understanding of the built environment as an essential requisite for any subsequent action.

At the same time, it has allowed to reflect on the role of drawing in the restoration project, also in the light of the opportunities offered by technological innovation.
