The strength of this book is how broad it is and the amount of ground that Kauflin covers. It will provide a helpful introduction to most things within the topic of worship, whether theology, ministry philosophy or practical application.

Also a strength is the experience that Kauflin brings, showing how theology practically applies to the week-to-week task of leading music in church. One of the downsides of the broad nature is that this book doesn't go into as much detail as others at points, however this is understandable in light of what Kauflin tries to achieve in this book, which he most definitely succeeds in doing. Highly recommended.
